A. Silva Leal is authorised by the Portuguese Ministry of Defence to perform the commercialisation of armament, military material and technologies, in accordance with the Portuguese law 49/2009, dated 5th of August.

When A. Silva Leal was founded in the 1950s, its founder, Acácio da Silva Leal, already had a long experience in the defense and military material trade. The company's activity was mainly focused on the supply of the Portuguese Armed Forces, having been progressively extended to the supply of personal defense and security material, as well as other items, to the police forces. With the arrival of his grandson, Manuel Leal Rios, in the 1980s, the business expands to new markets, in particular, the PALOP (Portuguese Speaking Countries), where new opportunities also arise that led to the diversification of products and services offered, namely consumer goods and miscellaneous industrial equipment, which still exists today.

Since then A. Silva Leal has consolidated its presence in these countries, establishing partnerships with internationally renowned entities and with extensive experience in these markets, in order to offer a variety of products and services, ranging from security to consulting for the elaboration of turnkey projects, their implementation, the training of technical personnel, even the supply of consumer goods and industrial equipment. Currently, the company establishes relations with more than 15 countries, where its image stands out for the establishment of solid ties and a seriousness and capacity to carry out the proposed projects according to international quality standards.
